• **Financial information:** Payment card details (processed and tokenized by Paystack — we do not store full card numbers), bank account details for landlord payouts
• **Property information:** Property photos, address, description, and pricing (landlords)
• **Usage data:** Pages visited, features used, search queries, device information, and IP addresses
• **Communications:** Messages exchanged with other users and with our support team
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
• Provide, maintain, and improve our platform
• Process bookings, payments, and payouts
• Verify your identity and prevent fraud (KYC compliance)
• Send booking confirmations, payment receipts, and important account notifications
• Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
• Send marketing communications (only with your explicit consent)

3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with:
• **Other platform users:** Your first name, profile photo, and verified status are visible to users you transact with (e.g. landlords can see tenant profiles for bookings they receive)
• **Payment processors:** Paystack processes all payments. Your card data is governed by Paystack's privacy policy
• **Service providers:** Third-party vendors who assist us with email delivery, cloud hosting, analytics, and fraud prevention — all under strict data processing agreements
• **Legal authorities:** When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account:
• Transaction records are retained for 7 years for financial and tax compliance
• KYC records are retained for 5 years as required by Nigerian regulations
• Messages are deleted within 90 days of account deletion
• All other personal data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days
5. Your Rights (NDPR)
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), you have the right to:

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on our platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of SplitPadNG after the changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
