1. About SplitPadNG

SplitPadNG is an online platform that connects tenants with landlords offering flexible weekly rentals in Nigeria. By creating a tenant account, you agree to these terms in full.

2. Payments

Rent is charged weekly. The total amount due each week includes the base rent set by the landlord plus a platform service fee charged by SplitPadNG. Payments are processed securely via Paystack and a receipt is issued for every payment.

3. Service Fee

The service fee is a platform charge covering payment processing, customer support, and platform maintenance. It is not a maintenance fund and is non-refundable once a payment has been processed.

4. Security Deposit

A security deposit may be required at booking. Rather than charging a fixed upfront amount, your card details are securely stored and used as a deposit authorization.

After you check out, your card authorization is held for 13 days to allow the landlord to inspect the property and report any damage. During this period:

  • If no damage is reported, your card authorization is released automatically after the 13 days and you are not charged.
  • If damage is reported by the landlord, SplitPadNG will review the claim before any charge is made to your card.
  • You will be notified of any damage claim and given the opportunity to respond before a final decision is made.

Your card will never be charged without review and notification from SplitPadNG.

5. Maintenance & Repairs

The landlord is responsible for all repairs and maintenance of equipment and facilities within the property. If something breaks through no fault of yours, report it immediately via the Maintenance Issues section on your rental page. Do not attempt repairs yourself.

6. Your Responsibilities

  • Pay rent on time each week.
  • Treat the property and its contents with care.
  • Follow all property rules set by the landlord.
  • Report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Not sublet the property to any third party.

7. Checkout & Refunds

You may check out at any time from your rental page. Refund requests are handled through the platform and are subject to review. Rent already paid for a current week is non-refundable unless the property is found uninhabitable.

8. Privacy Policy

We collect your name, email, phone number, location preferences, and payment information solely to operate the platform. Your data is never sold to third parties. All payments are handled by Paystack (PCI-DSS compliant) — we do not store your card details. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting support@splitpadng.com.
